When did you start modeling and how’d you get involved?
I actually started when I was about 15 years old. My brother Giovanni Fajardo a New York Fashion Designer/pattern maker worked with a lot of Celebraties from Brittany Spears to Janet Jackson. He would make special garments for their Videos/red carpet events/concerts/etc…and I would be the model to try on everything before they did :) I was his fitting Model For about 4 years. I was also involved in a few fashion shows back in the days.
What’s the biggest difference between being in NY, where you’re from, and Miami?
Miami was much different than the new York scene that I was used to, I was drawn to the lifestyle and people…And of course the weather. It’s summer all year around almost. I’m definitely a tropical girl!!
Tell us about being involved in last year’s BET Rip the Runway?
It was a great experience. I got to work with a good friend of mine Designer Lila Nikole of Amaya Swimwear which was both our first time there!!
What are some of the other modeling projects you’ve had a chance to be apart of?
I was also involved in This years 2008 BET Spring Bling and did my first ads for Blissberry Yogart spot in 944 magazine and Ocean drive.
Which of your fake Myspace pages is your favorite? You’ve got a lot of them to choose from lol.
My Favorite one is the one that called them self Simply Jaz. I actually don’t have the link but I saw it a while back. They really took the time to make it look like if it was real. I tagged most of my photos and they tagged right over it with “Simply Jaz” too funny.
You’ve got a number of projects outside of modeling…give us the some info on the origins of “The 400 Club”?
We started our own dinner party at Harrison’s restaurant. We named it “The 400 Club”, and in less than a year it grew from a 50 person intimate dinner party, to the most popular and exclusive R&B dinner party in Miami.. In fact, it grew so big and so fast that after just a year and a half, we decided to move the party to a much bigger location; The Fifth Nightclub. We’ve been at The Fifth every Friday for the last year and a half and it is hands down the top Hip Hop and R & B party in Miami.. and some say the country! Each Friday night we draw over 1000 of the sexiest and most important young professionals, models, celebrities, socialites, and professional athletes from Miami as well as across the world. So if you in the miami area, let me know. Hit me on myspace!!!
What makes the nightlife in Miami so different from any other place?
I’ve been to a lot of parties out of miami and the difference is the vibe and people. In south beach it’s all about the look.
What are some of the biggest mistakes you see foreigners make when they come to party in Miami?
The biggest mistake I repeatly see is they go to the wronge clubs because they don’t no any better. If you come to miami you have to know someone in the scene to show you around, like me!!! :)
Give the guys some advice on what they can do to improve their chances with South Beach’s finest?
Come out here in the best shape and respect the way to approach The ladies please. No bitch ass ness!! lol
Tell us about your new role as VP Executive Director of Icon Modelz?
I’ve recently became the Vice President of Icon Modeling Agency out of South Florida. Its an up and coming but very strong modeling company that Im very excited to be a part of. My role is to help build it and look for the next hot models!!
What do you want the next steps in your career to be?
Between my parties, modeling, website, and modeling agency, the near future looks extremely busy, but very promising!
And most importantly, how long are we going to have to wait to have you shoot for The Dynasty Series? You know I have my fingers crossed…
(smile) Soon as we get a date and time together :)
