In Los Angeles, California, Julie spends the afternoon fantasizing poolside — something she often does through literature. “My passion? Writing. When I realized I wanted to be a published author, I knew that was it — that’s what I wanted ultimately,” she shares, “To reach people and tell a story they can relate to, cry to, laugh to— that’s the impact I want to make.” For Julie, downtime is usually spent with a good book. “What do I enjoy in my spare time? Reading mostly,” she smiles. “I like to escape reality.” In this moment, Julie is happy to be on set as our December Adult Star feature. “What do I love most about my job? The freedom,” she says. “I make more than I would if I had stayed in school and gotten a normal job.” Julie also adores the art that goes into creating a project like this. “I love [posing nude]. The naked body is beautiful,” she says. Posing nude is also about feeling confident and strong for Julie. “Female empowerment? It’s about believing in yourself. It’s about going against the gender norms one was taught.
