What motivated you to step in front of the camera?

Everyone used to say I was so photogenic and should model. When I was about 21 I decided to go for it and take it seriously. Now I love shooting. Before every shoot I am always a little nervous but once we start rolling and I have some great music on everything is great.

What are the biggest obstacles you’ve had to overcome as a model?

The biggest obstacle is probably dealing with other female models. Instead of saluting one another there is always someone who has a catty scheme going on or is just bitter. I’m a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due. There is nothing wrong with a woman telling complimenting another woman. Another obstacle is probably just my skin color. The industry is crazy. Some people say I’m too light, too dark, assume I’m Spanish. Instead of looking at the model’s resume they would rather just judge off looks. I hate that.
