Top 25 of the Decade – Laura Dore

For years my favorite picture EVER was of this girl in a blue bikini, with her head pointed down, in what looked to be a creek or lake, with the water glistening down her body. I had no clue who she was, but it didn’t matter. I could describe her to other people as “the girl in a blue bikini, with her head pointed down, in what looked to be a creek or lake, with the water glistening down her body.” Everyone knew just who I was talking about.

D. Brown let me know her name was Laura Dore, which made finding her a hell of a lot easier.

Fresh of her national debut in SHOW Issue #2, I knew that I needed to get both feet on the bandwagon as early as possible. We brought her up to Philly to shoot for the first DynastySeries DVD, and everything that could have gone wrong did. Her flight from Austin got delayed, then she missed her connecting, then go stuck in DC and had to take a train up to Philly. We ended up shooting until the wee hrs of the morning once she finally got here.

I was smart to jump when I did because Laura has go on to become the centerpiece for SHOW Magazine, including the premiere of SHOWCase (with Vanessa Veasley), two SHOWPiece issues (Italy and London), and all 4 covers of her issue of Black Lingerie. She’s also been on the cover of Lowrider Girls, been XXL Eyecandy of the Month, and ventured into the burlesque world with Alt, Deadbeat, Marquis.

And without question, her site LauraDore.com has to be the best modeling website I think many of us have ever seen.
