DynastySeries Top 25

In highlighting the Top 25 Models of the Decade, we also wanted to make sure to highlight 25 models that have been instrumental in the success of DynastySeries. There's no doubt that our success is in large part due to them.

Top 25 of the Decade Honorable Mention

25 spots still didn't give us enough spots to honor all of the models that have made an impact over the last 10 years. Here is our Top 25 of the Decade Honorable Mention list, who all received multiple nominations from our voters.

Top 25 of the Decade – Amber Rose

The first time I saw the video for Ludacris and Chris Brown’s song for “I Know What Them Girls Like,” I knew the girl with the short blonde hair had “it!” The hair alone was going to separate her from everyone else, not to mention that she was gorgeous. Plus when a woman cuts her hair that short, you know she exudes confidence, and what’s sexier that that. I knew that I had to find out who she was asap!

Top 25 of the Decade – Brooke Bailey

After a few music videos she was one of the first to cast for the show MTV Punk’d. Brooke has featured in a V.S.O.P commercial with Snoop Dogg and the Bishop. She’s also graced the stage of the 2006 B.E.T. awards with Busta Rhymes as one of his Touch me girls for his hit song.

Top 25 of the Decade – Vida Guerra

Vida first came on the scene in 2002 with FHM. The Cuban bombshell exploded on the scene and people couldn’t get enough of her. She is extremely limber and produced poses that models could only dream of.

Top 25 of the Decade – Lyric

Slim Goody; Lyric is an anomaly even to this day. Through www.summerbunnies.com as a platform, this golden brown beauty swarmed the Internet with her www.lyric0611.com. I remember Lyric when pay sites were really making money and her risqué pictures were definitely rolling in the dough.

Top 25 of the Decade – Gloria Velez

She landed a spot co-hosting MTV’s Video Honey’s and appeared several times on the Chappelle’s show as well as appearing in Playboy. After doing every magazine imaginable and a lot of trade show, apparel, and product modeling Gloria tried her hand as a rap artist.

Top 25 of the Decade – Suelyn Medeiros

On May 14, 1986 in New York City an ambitious sweet exotic beauty called Suelyn Medeiros daughter of Brazilian parents was born. Living most of her life in and out of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, she returned to the U.S to follow her big dream of becoming a doctor. Despite all the advice from friends and strangers that she should not put to waist her spontaneous personality and unique beauty and should become a Model.

Top 25 of the Decade – Maliah Michel

Last week Amina and I went with Maliah to Kay Slay’s Streetsweeper Radio on Shade 45. When we’re leaving, and I was a few feet away from them, one of the security guards in the building came up to me. “Dude…I just want to shake your hand for even knowing her.”

Top 25 of the Decade – Jesikah Maximus

If you’re looking for an example of instant impact, you don’t have to look any further than Jesikah. Before you could blink had massive tribute issues from both Blackmen and SHOW and had become one of the most bankable models in our industry. If she was on the cover, it was going to sell.

Top 25 of the Decade – Angel Lola Luv

A beautiful Ethiopian girl caught my attention while perusing the pages of Blackmen Magazine. Her face an ethnic one, her body curvaceous with a smile to kill for, Angel definitely was, and still is, a site for sore eyes.

Top 25 of the Decade – Amazin’ Amie

It is absolutely impossible to find a sweeter person in any facet of your life than Amie. She’s an absolute gem!, and has been one of the pillars of DynastySeries from the very beginning.

Top 25 of the Decade – Melyssa Ford

Of all the “Miss Rabbit’s;” Melyssa is the original (besides Roger Rabbit’s wife of course). The Canadian hottie burst on to the scene in the late 90’s after being discovered in Toronto by music video director Lil X. Her figure 8 shape along with her chiseled looks took the US hip hop scene by storm when Melyssa ventured to America.

Top 25 of the Decade – Laura Dore

For years my favorite picture EVER was of this girl in a blue bikini, with her head pointed down, in what looked to be a creek or lake, with the water glistening down her body. I had no clue who she was, but it didn’t matter. I could describe her to other people as “the girl in a blue bikini, with her head pointed down, in what looked to be a creek or lake, with the water glistening down her body.”

Top 25 of the Decade – Bubbles

I was skipping through an issue of Straight Stuntin and I stopped in mid flip when I got to a beautiful girl with a “Aaliyah bang” (you know…where the bang covers one of her eyes haha!). Only on rare occasions will I ever read an interview, but after seeing the other 3 pics in her debut spread, getting to know Bubbles was the only thing on my mind.

Top 25 of the Decade – Esther Baxter

Freek a Leak..Yep that is where I first saw Esther, that damn Petey Pablo video..lol. She stood out like a star in the night’s sky, and became known as “Miss Freak a Leak”. Esther stood out because of her big brown eyes, angelic/ innocent look, and Triple DDD cleavage.

Top 25 of the Decade – Dollicia Bryant

Dollicia came on the scene through R&B singer Joe to appear in his video “If I Was Your Man.” shortly after gracing the cover of SHOW magazine. Since she appeared on the scene I can really say this girl has stayed in the limelight.

Top 25 of the Decade – Ki Toy Johnson

In 2003 “The Way You Move” video was a big video. I can remember watching it in and saying “ Damn, who is this chick with the fatty”? Well, I guess I wasn’t the only one who felt that way. That weekend when I went to the beauty salon women were talking about Ki Toy as well as the men in the barber shops.

Top 25 of the Decade – Buffie the Body

I can remember getting a phone call from a friend in Atlanta saying that there is a girl in the Tony Yayo video that I needed to work with. I turned to BET (yea they used to play videos!) and saw this dark skinned girl in a black dress gyrating her way to stardom. Buffie exploded onto the scene via a Yahoo Group on steroids.

Top 25 of the Decade – Vanessa Veasley

Many times models expect to set the world on fire immediately. But VERY rarely does that happen. No one really wants work at stardom. They assume is going to fall in their lap. That’s the first mistake we see time and time again, and it’s a mistake Vanessa never fell victim too.

Top 25 of the Decade – Lashontae Heckard

I love Lashontae. Tae (as her friends call her) is one of the funniest, most down to earth people I have met. I’ve been on set with her on the movie ATL and on a few photo shoots in Miami with Ethnicity Models and every time she is a guaranteed riot. Besides being extremely funny she is absolutely gorgeous. Even without makeup Tae will always stop traffic.

Top 25 of the Decade – Brittany Dailey

Many, many moons ago (like 2005 lol), when I didn’t have a clue what I was doing at all, I got an email from this beautiful girl in California named Brittany Dailey. She only had one picture at the time (from her feature in Lowrider), but that one picture was enough. I thought that she was absolutely gorgeous! It was the first time I knew I was looking at a star that no one else knew existed.

Top 25 of the Decade – Rosa Acosta

Charles got approached to do a calendar project in Miami, and we were trying to figure out whom to cast for it. We’re throwing out names back and forth, and he mentions we should use Rosa Acosta. I knew of Rosa but I hadn’t seen any pics of her in awhile. But he was adamant that we had to have Rosa.

Top 25 of the Decade – Coco

Can anyone deny that when you saw Coco for the first time, you’re mouth dropped! It was just a picture of her out with Ice-T, but that’s all you needed. We all were asking “who in the hell is that?!” followed by “got damn you Ice-T… you lucky bastard!” Every outfit she wore made even your mom snap her neck.

Top 25 of the Decade – Summer Walker

I was getting ready to make a trip to Atlanta for a weekend of shooting with Shawn Dowdell on GlamaGirls in 2006. I was going through some of the girls we had already shot, and my eyes just kept going back to this beautiful girl that had a short LIME GREEN wig on lol. The wig was totally throwing me off but she was the one my eyes kept coming back too.

Top 25 of the Decade – Bria Myles

The model my friends asks me the most have I ever worked with has got to be Bria. They need to me verify for them that a girl that pretty… can have a body like that! (At this time let me give a shout out to my frat brother Jide, who’s been on me for years to just put him the same room as Bria lol).

Top 25 of the Decade – Hoopz

The instant I turned on the premiere of “Flavor of Love,” I knew if there was going to be a breakout star from the show, it was going to be Nikki. I had seen pic s of her off and on with EyeCandyModeling, but now the entire world was getting to see her every week (and who could have guessed the power of Flava Flav).
