Several conversations I’ve had these last few days provided me with the inspiration for this article. Some people may get offended but my sole intent is spark a healthy discussion about the current state of “urban” modeling (which refers only to the glamor portion). This is NOT in any shape or form an attempt to bash anyone.
Have you ever experienced one/any of the following scenarios and wondered WHY?
1) Went into a bookstore, say Borders or Barnes & Noble, looking for an Urban Men’s Magazine issue that perhaps you or someone that you supported were featured in and noticed that it was wrapped in plastic protective covering?
or
2) Told friend/family that you wanted to become an urban model & got hit immediately with a lot of negativity?
Here’s the easy answer: because its considered PORN and to be honest, that conclusion is not off base….Want something more of an explanation, then read on…
