Lawyers Claim T.I. Owes $8,000 Bill

January 5th, 2009

The lawyers who represented the mother of T.I.’s sons in her child support case against the Atlanta rapper claim that T.I. owes them $8,000 in lawyer fees.

As reported earlier, LaShon Dixon took T.I. to court last year claiming that the monthly payments of $2000 that she received from the rapper wasn't enough to support her and their two sons.

A judge would order T.I. to pay Dixon over $3,000 a month as well as pay for the children's tuition, uninsured medical bills and extracurricular activities.

According to The Associated Press, Dixon's attorney Randy Kessler claims that T.I. was also ordered to pay attorney fees by November 19th but failed to do so.

T.I. is expected in court tomorrow (January 6) over the matter.  The rapper and Dixon are still negotiating child support and custody of their boys, ages 7 and 8.

T.I. has three other children outside of his relationship with Dixon.

Update: Jim Jones Slapped With Assault Charge For Store Brawl

January 5th, 2009

Jim Jones has reportedly been charged with misdemeanour assault for his involvement in an altercation that occurred at a Manhattan Louis Vuitton store on Christmas Eve.

Rumours had been circulating that Jones and his crew got into a physical altercation with Ne-Yo and Jay-Z's friend Tyran 'Ty Ty" Smith at the store but authorities revealed that Jones got into a brawl with Smith's brother who was travelling with Ne-Yo.

Jones agreed to meet with New York police today (January 5) to discuss the incident and he was slapped with the assault charge.

Jones is currently out on bail and is expected to appear before a judge on February 4th. The rapper will be releasing his fourth solo album titled Pray IV Reign on November 20th.

Jim Jones To Talk To Police Over Alleged Fight With Ne-Yo & Jay-Z’s Friend

January 5th, 2009

Jim Jones will be turning himself into New York Police today (January 5) to discuss an incident that took place at a Manhattan Louis Vuitton store on Christmas Eve.

Rumours have been circulating the past few weeks that Jones and his crew got into a physical altercation with Ne-Yo and Jay-Z's friend Tyran 'Ty Ty" Smith at the high-end store on December 24th.

Details on the incident remain sketchy as various bloggers have claimed that the brawl involved Ne-Yo's entourage and that the singer was not at the scene.  Some even say Smith was also not at the store.

Ne-Yo's camp and Smith have not spoken publicly on the incident and Jones also declined to discuss it when approached by MTV News.

"I don't wanna talk about that," Jones told MTV. "Nah, we not doing that, let's stop that right there. Let's not do that. We above that."

Lil Kim Dismisses Biggie Biopic, ‘I’m Not Supporting It’

January 5th, 2009

Lil Kim is not impressed with the way she has been portrayed in Biggie's upcoming biopic Notorious.

In an interview with Hip Hop Weekly, the Brooklyn rapper claims that B.I.G's mother (Voletta Wallace) and his wife Faith Evans green-lighted scenes in various scripts for the flick that defame her character.

"They were disrespecting me terrible," claimed Lil Kim. " [They had a script with a scene] where Ms. Wallace [allegedly] came to see one of Biggie’s shows for the first time and I was supposed to be so mad at him about something that I pulled my panties off on stage and mooned the crowd with my p—-. What the f—?! Come on, don’t you think that would’ve been in the history archives?"

"They’re using Lil Kim to sensationalize their bulls— lying’-a– story," stressed Kim. "That was the last version of the script I saw, which somebody had snuck to me, ’cause people didn’t want me to see it.

Kim claims she feels betrayed by Ms. Wallace and Evans and plans to reveal dirt on them.

"I’ve had enough and I’m about to expose them both. That’s it. I’ve been quiet for a long time. You don’t hear me talking about none of them," said Kim. "They want to talk about people exploiting Biggie, to me this is the worst way you could exploit his name; by disrespecting people who was around him who he had major love for. The truth is gonna be known."

"I’m really disappointed in Faith," Kim added." I remember a few years ago she did a magazine interview where she talked about having a lot of respect and love for me. She said, “Kim was Biggie’s girlfriend and I was Biggie’s wife,” and how that was hard for her to deal with. Then later on she writes a book and in it she tried to change it and say some stupid s— about how I was his jump off. I guess the funds must be low; because somebody told Faith, “you gotta write a book and you gotta come at Kim in the book."

"I lived with [Ms. Wallace] in Biggie’s house for almost eight months after [he] died," Kim continued. "On top of all that, out of the kindness of my heart and the love I had for Biggie, I share five percent of my publishing with Ms. Wallace; just out of love, making sure that if I ate, she and the kids ate. And at the end of the day, this is how she repays me? It’s time for Ms. Wallace to be exposed."

Kim revealed that she will not be going to watch the Biggie biopic that opens in theatres next week (January 16th).

I might watch it on bootleg, for legal reasons," said Kim. "I don’t mess with Cease and them at all, but even they know this is not the real Biggie story. If they say something different, I ain’t mad, ’cause I know they’re rolling along for their little three minutes of fame, doing what they gotta do to hold on. I just want people to know, I have nothing to do with the film and I’m not supporting it. I’m currently working on my life story where people will get the 'Naked Truth 'about Kimberly Denise Jones a/k/a Lil Kim."

Suge Knight Has Buyers Scared To Purchase Death Row

January 4th, 2009

Suge Knight's intimidating reputation has various buyers scared to buy the rap mogul's former record label.

As reported earlier, Knight lost Death Row Records to bankruptcy in 2006.  The label was put up for auction last summer but a potential buyer, Global Music Group, failed to close the sale.

According to The New York Post, the label will be up for auction again on January 15th but budding buyers are reportedly scared that Knight may go after them.

"It could be a tough sale," an unidentified source told The Post.  “Some people don't want to go near the catalogue because they think Suge still believes it's his."

Adding fire to their fears, Lydia Harris claims that Knight threatened her life during a court hearing when a judge awarded her with $107 million after she won a lawsuit against the infamous rap mogul.

Harris revealed to The Post that Knight told her, "You dead, bitch."

Harris had sued Knight for owed profits. She claimed she helped Knight start Death Row but he forced her out of the label.

Melanie Bonvicino, Knight's representative, told The Post that Knight "has no recollection" of the day he allegedly made the threats.

DMX’s Arizona Home Foreclosed & Up For Sale, Rapper’s Property Stolen

January 2nd, 2009

DMX's Arizona home is reportedly under foreclosure and has been put up for sale by a local bank.

The realtor selling DMX's home, Andrew Wheeler, revealed to AZFamily today (January 2) that the home was left unprotected and in shambles after it was raided for the second time by authorities in May 2008.

Wheeler divulged that the house's doors and windows were blown during the raid and it made it easy for thieves to enter the house.

Wheeler claims various items were stolen including DMX's quads.

"I think people showed up, walked into the house and took what they wanted," Wheeler said.

The Arizona home appeared in DMX's reality show which aired on BET in 2006. The Yonkers bred rapper paid $600,000 for the house in 2003 and the bank has put it up for sale for 429,000.

DMX is currently in an Arizona jail awaiting sentencing on charges of animal cruelty, identity theft and drug possession. The rapper plead guilty to the charges last week and is expected to serve at least 90 days behind bars.
