How did you get started in modeling?

I started when I was 14yrs old. I told my mom I was interested and she did everything she could to get me started from there.

What are your biggest assets as a model?

I really think my look is a big thing, seems lately that most photographers think my face is great. But I also believe that I have a great personality, I’m very professional, so working with me is really easy.

What are the best and worst things about being in front of the camera?

The best think about being in front of the camera is being able to portray, at times, a character other than myself, or a side of myself that I don’t display very often. The whole creativity of being a part of a photoshoot is great. The worst parts of being in front of the camera for me are the times when I’m really not feeling well and trying very hard to fake the funk so it doesn’t show in the pictures and the fact that the camera picks up everything! Being on top of my posing game is key.

What was it like to be selected as Web Girl of the month in the March / April issue of King Magazine?

It was great! I was really excited because I had been trying to get in to King Magazine for the longest time and finally it came through. I gained a ton of new fan from it and I’m very thankful to King.

Of all the projects you’ve had a chance to be a part of …which ones stand out the most?

I always say this, but it would have to be the J’Adore magazine shoot where I got to play Barbie and then I had one of the sexiest outfits I’ve ever worn on for my last set. I just thought it was all very creative and things went well that day. Everyone on their team is great.

How was it the first time someone recognized you as “Alonna James”?

Embarrassing! I was in the grocery store one day and I had noticed these 2 guys kept eye balling me. So when we’re all in the check out line one finally says, “I’ve seen you before, I can’t pin point it, but I have”. He then asks my name, I tell him, now he remembers, and now I’m embarrassed in line at the grocery store because the other man chimed in and everyone was looking at me. The second time it was equally embarrassing because I was at work. And for those of you that don’t know I work at an animal hospital.

What part of your body are you most complimented on?

My face

What part do I need to compliment you on to have a chance?

All things above the neck…lol

Is there any one thing a guy can do to win you over…or at least improve his chances?

Don’t use pick up lines, spark a conversation that has some sort of direction, and have a sense of humor.

Let’s say I see you out and I know “this may be my chance”…what can I do not to f’ it all up?

Don’t fall on your way over. lol j/k. I really don’t know, just be yourself and don’t come at me like you’re trying to get at me just because you saw me in a magazine.

What can your fans expect from the brand new AlonnaJames.com?

The new site will be locked down so you will have to have a membership to be privy to all things Alonna James. I’ll have more galleries up, interactive things going on, videos, a better blogger, and I just want to hear from my fans more, if they want an improvement, have questions, heard a rumor, whatever I just want to hear what’s on everyone’s mind.

What other projects will we be seeing you in coming soon?

At the moment I’m involved with www.SuperLX.com This is a project taking place in Tampa, FL over Superbowl weekend. They have a bunch of great parties planned over the course of 4 days. I’m sure it will be bananas. Read up on it, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. I will soon have a video on their site going over all the events. I recently did an NFL bike themed shoot so look out for that. For now that’s it. Superbowl has me consumed. Oh how could I forget, www.Flashinglightsonline.com I will soon have my mini segment on there.

Since I swore I’d never come back to North Carolina (seems like every time we go everything goes to hell lol)… when are we going to get you to come up north so we can finally get you in front of a camera for The Dynasty Series?

That’s a good question. I guess everyone will have to stay tuned in to see when that happens.
