Say Ms Portia…before we get this started…are you coming back to the states from the UK to see me sometime soon? Lol
Lol. I will definitely be back in the States soon. I have been booked for a couple of party appearances, plus I have some shoots set up. Don’t worry, you’ll see me!
What are the best and worst things about being from the UK?
Hmmm, I’ve never been asked that. Ok the best; There are a lot of opportunities, the pound is strong, there are a lot of places to shop, Americans love our accent…! The worst? It’s boring!!

I may be coming over to the UK in the next few months…and since you’ll be my tour guide…where are we going?
Well I’ll take you to a couple of museums…then we can go and see a few sites in London….No I’m playing. I know that’ll bore you. I’ll take you to London and Manchester to shop, then we can have a picnic in one of our beautiful parks in London, like Primrose Hill, or Hampstead Heath. After that we’ll hit a club. And if you’re not too tired, we’ll go for a Cookies and Cream milkshake in Tinsel Town or for an early hours of the morning breakfast at VQ’s…
What motivated you to get involved in modeling?
Honestly? My ex boyfriend and the fact that I could. Opportunities kept coming my way and I would’ve been stupid to say no. On top of that, I knew it would be a good stepping stone
Tell us about appearing in the Lingerie Issue of SHOW Magazine?
It was fun. It was my first time in LA and my first time shooting with loads of American models. All the girls were really friendly and professional. I was modeling Victoria’s Secret. At first I was a little nervous, but within 20 minutes of being there I was cool! I was, and I still am the first European girl in the mag, so I was happy to be representing the UK.
What are your biggest assets as a model?
I’m a professional and I don’t mess about. I deliver. Tell me what kind of shot you want, tell me how you want me to sell your brand, and I’ll make it happen.
Tell us about some of your biggest career accomplishments also outside of modeling?
The latest achievements that I am proud of is my youth charity to help stop gun and knife crime. It’s early days and I am still working on it. I have Akon’s back and I’m just waiting for us to both have the time to really focus on it 100% It means a lot to me. Akon’s a good role model that youth can relate to, so it makes sense that he is involved. I am also extremely excited about my modeling workshops.
I am now working alongside model and designer Reem Kanj, so with both of us working on it it’s really growing into something amazing. The Workshop will soon be reaching out to other cities. At the moment, I am working on a new project called the Diva Diaries ( http://Diva-Diaries.com) I am co-presenting with China’s no.1 RnB artist, Ayi Jihu. We first met when she performed at one of my networking events, here in London. We work (and play) brilliantly together and I am really excited; it’s my biggest project so far as a presenter. I’ve presented on Sky Tv before, but I wasn’t passionate about it and had no say in it, not like this one.
What part of your body are you most complimented on?
I’m not. Honestly… I can never answer these types of questions. I always just get complimented in general. If it’s something specific then I guess my lips or my bum! And quite often my waist. To be honest though I usually get complimented on my personality! Guys are always like “wow you’re so cool as well as beautiful!” Like they expected me to be a complete bitch or something. But like I said I hate questions like this. Can we keep it moving…..?
What part do I need to compliment you on to have a chance?
To be honest I’m bored of the usual compliments. My looks, my achievements. I mean it’s good to be appreciated, but I hear it all the time. It’s hard to take something seriously when you always hear it. I would rather we just got along, naturally. Either there’s chemistry or there’s not
Let’s say I see you out and I know “this may be my chance”…what can I do not to f’ it all up?
Don’t be predictable. Don’t try too hard to impress me; I’m not saying I don’t like to be spoilt rotten, but that comes later. At first, I like a bit of a chase, a bit of a challenge. So keep it cool. DO NOT BORE ME, because I am easily bored. Make me laugh. I love laughing! And don’t be too in my face. Keep the mystery. Say something that will interest me, then slip away. I might just look for you…
>What do you want the next steps in your career to be?
I just want things to continue moving as they are. I have been sent a few scripts so I want my acting career to kick off next year. This is just the beginning…
