What was the first thing you had in mind when your plane landed in Manila?
I couldn’t wait to sample the nightlife! I was barely legal the last time I was here and I’ve heard great things about the clubs, bars, and restaurants around. After 16 hours on the plane, all I wanted to do was unwind and have fun with my family and friends.
Are you in touch with your mixed heritage?
Growing up, I was always made very aware of my mixed heritage and culture through the food I ate and the languages I was exposed to. I’ve also been fortunate to visit the majority of my motherlands—Spain, Ireland, and of course, the Philippines. My next stop would be Cuba and Hawaii, someday soon I hope! I’m very proud of every bit in my gene pool and I love exploring every aspect of my heritage. It makes life a bit more interesting and means I will always have family somewhere in the world to visit and a good excuse to travel, ha ha ha!
